WAKD Blank Sessions : Mucker

‘The Knuckle Dragger lads came to Blank to track their first two EPs, and over the course of these we became fond friends and fans of the guitar-bass-drums trio. It’s not hard to do so though, as their numerous tour videos and the like online go to show; they’ve always got an upbeat and charismatic attitude surrounding their music, and their musicianship itself is impressive to say the least.

They’re an angular, aggressive metal band, with a hardcore edge. While maybe not for all ears, it should certainly tingle a few in the right ways. Aran’s fast, sharp-edged guitar lines cut through over a driving bass, with a tone that could literally rattle your fillings out. All is held down by drums about as frenetic as could possibly be while still retaining a rhythm and groove that gets your head nodding. Certainly musicians of all backgrounds could find enjoyment from watching these three guys ply their trade.

They’ve just recently released their first full-length, Tit for Tat (from which this track ‘Mucker’ was taken), which has been receiving great national press , and they’ve also just come off the back of a support slot for the UK tour of metal giants Meshuggah.
