The brooding rockers from Birmingham, fronted by Tom Smith – alongside newest member Justin Lockey have stopped work on their highly-anticpated fourth album just to headline XFM‘s Winter Wonderland with Rocksmith in support of War Child. The band – who are currently working on their fourth album – will perform their only scheduled date until next summer as part of the incredible line-up.

“It is our pleasure to be part of XFM’s Christmas do this year,” frontman Tom commented. “To help this wonderful station celebrate will be a lot of fun. The night is made all the more worthwhile for us by being in aid of War Child, a longstanding charity which continues to do amazing work and has continued to work hand in hand with bands and musicians we love. The original Help album sits proudly on my shelf still.”

Joining Editors on the bill for the London leg of Xfm’s Winter Wonderland with Rocksmith are The Courteeners - Liam Fray and the rest of team Courteener are currently working on the follow up to 2010′s Falcon, ‘Anna‘ but are coming joining in on the indie Christmas celebration.

They’re followed by Australian band The Temper TrapLucy Rose and Theme Park will be helping to get the party started as Xfm’s Winter Wonderland with Rocksmith takes over O2 Academy Brixton on Monday December 17, hosted by Xfm’s Danny Wallace.

The night also includes the presentation of the coveted XFM Inspiration Award to a very special guest.
